Ivy Tech Community College Indianapolis (Ivy Tech Indy) invites nominations, inquiries, and applications for the position of Chancellor. Ivy Tech Indy is the flagship campus of Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana’s largest public postsecondary institution and the nation’s largest singly accredited statewide community college system. The largest and most diverse of Ivy Tech’s 19 campuses, Ivy Tech Indy serves Marion, Boone, and Hendricks Counties from its main campus in downtown Indianapolis and additional locations across the region, covering the largest service area in the state. The campus offers associate degrees, certificates, and workforce training, along with transfer pathways that provide an affordable route to a bachelor’s degree. Reporting directly to Ivy Tech President Dr. Marty Pollio, the successful candidate is expected to assume office in Spring 2027.

Ivy Tech Indy is one of Central Indiana’s most important economic engines. With more than 800 employees serving more than 39,000 students, the campus offers more than 50 programs, and affordability is central to its mission: four in five graduates leave Ivy Tech without student loan debt, and the College runs one of the largest apprenticeship programs in the country. Through partnerships with employers, Ivy Tech Indy connects affordable education directly to high-demand jobs and strengthens the region’s growing life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The next Chancellor will join the campus at an important time. With record enrollment, significant investments in facilities through the Ivy Tech Indy: Reimagined for the Future project, strong employer and community partnerships, and a new strategic plan guiding the College’s work through 2030, Ivy Tech Indy is well positioned to build on its successes and expand its impact across Central Indiana. The Chancellor will provide consistent, visible, and trusted leadership; translate statewide priorities into measurable results; strengthen Ivy Tech’s role as a leading workforce and economic development partner; and keep student success, from enrollment through completion, transfer, and employment, at the center of the campus’s work. The successful candidate will be an experienced, collaborative, and student-focused leader who embraces the community college mission, values faculty and staff, works effectively within Ivy Tech’s one-college statewide structure, and is committed to Ivy Tech Indianapolis for the long term.

The Chancellor’s salary is $250,000, with opportunities for annual incentive bonuses tied to institutional and individual performance goals. Full information about the position,

including qualifications and the application process, can be found in the
