Northern Arizona University (NAU) invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Vice President (AVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Northern Arizona University Advancement | Foundation. NAU is a student-first land-grant university and R1 research institution located in Flagstaff, Arizona. Students may also take classes and conduct research at various statewide regional locations and online. The NAU Advancement | Foundation exists for the sole purpose of supporting NAU, recognizing special opportunities for NAU and engaging in fundraising activities to enable the university to capitalize on them. The Foundation has reached a record high in endowment growth and achieved its second-largest fundraising year in history after publicly launching Elevate, the campaign for NAU.
Reporting to the NAU Advancement Vice President, Foundation Chief Executive Officer Nick Lobejko, the AVP and CFO leads the Foundation’s administrative, financial, and risk management operations, shaping financial and operational strategy while safeguarding institutional assets and reporting accuracy. The AVP, CFO carries concurrent responsibility within the Advancement | Foundation division for financial analysis and strategic real estate, intellectual property, and venture capital initiatives, making this one of the most visible and impactful positions in the division. The ideal AVP, CFO is comfortable working transparently and collaboratively and is a mission-centered leader with a passion for the impact of higher education and a proven record of financial strategy and team leadership.

The annual compensation for this position is $200,000-$230,000.
