Valpo invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer (VPFA). Located in the economically and culturally growing region of Northwest Indiana within the dynamic Chicagoland area, Valpo seeks a VPFA who will bring proven experience and timely ideas to improve Valpo’s financial position to ensure the fulfillment of its mission.
Valparaiso University enters 2026 at an important moment of institutional renewal shaped by national higher education change and regional demographic trends. As a cabinet-level position reporting directly to the University’s newly appointed president, Rev. Brian Konkol, Ph.D., the VPFA will have an opportunity to spark and sustain a positive and profound difference, being responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support the mission of the University, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a welcoming and dynamic environment. The appointee is expected to begin in July of 2026.
As a teaching-focused and student-centered university with 200 full-time tenured/tenure-track and clinical faculty, Valpo offers its approximately 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students a personalized educational experience. Nearly 80 undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs are offered through the institution’s four academic colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Engineering, and the College of Nursing and Health Professions. The campus of nearly 350 acres contains more than 35 academic and residential buildings.
