McDaniel College invites applications and nominations for its inaugural dean of the School of Business and Technology – a rare opportunity to help establish a new academic school within a student-centered liberal arts institution. McDaniel seeks a bold, strategic, collaborative, and innovative leader who will help define the school’s identity. The dean will build meaningful partnerships and bring together faculty, students, alumni, and industry leaders around a shared vision of what business and technology education can be within a liberal arts environment.
Business and technology-related programs are among the College’s most popular offerings, representing over 28% of the undergraduate applicant pool. Thus, the establishment of a School of Business and Technology is in response to both market realities and student demand, and the inaugural dean is expected to bring uncommon credibility at the intersection of academic leadership, business practice, and technological change. The dean will be a leader who can translate liberal arts excellence into measurable outcomes, career readiness, employer trust, enrollment growth, and long-term institutional reputation.
