California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) seeks an innovative and collaborative leader to serve as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs (Provost). Reporting directly to the President, the Provost serves as the chief academic officer of Cal State LA and will enhance the University’s academic excellence and communicate its mission on campus and beyond.
Cal State LA is one of 23 campuses within the California State University system. The University serves nearly 25,000 students and offers 71 bachelor’s degrees, 55 master’s degrees, and four doctoral degree programs led by award-winning faculty. Founded in 1947, the University is located just minutes from downtown Los Angeles, adjacent to the San Gabriel Valley. Cal State LA’s students and 250,000 alumni reflect the city and county’s dynamic mix of populations, with a wide variety of interests, ages, and backgrounds.
