South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible, tenure or non-tenure track, Endowed Faculty (Assistant/Associate/Full) position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. This named position of the Gary and Sharon Van Riper Endowed Faculty of Pharmacy Practice and Innovation is an exciting new collaboration with a well-established health partner, Avera McKennan, located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Unique from a traditional clinical faculty position, this new position will focus on system-level quality initiatives that directly impact patient care related to care transitions. Primary responsibilities for the endowed faculty include supporting initiatives related to transitions of care with specific focus in the area of inpatient pharmacy (internal medicine or other); didactic instruction; precepting on-site students; actively engaging in scholarship; and contributing to committees within the academic, professional, and healthcare settings.
The position will be actively engaged with pharmacy and health-systems leadership at Avera McKennan and is supervised by the Department Head of Pharmacy Practice.
